$1.875 Million Settled in Tractor-Trailer Accident

Owner - operators are the main core of the drivers of classic big rig semi trucks engaged in the transport of perishable goods in refrigerated trailers delivering goods in time to their places of use

A $1.875 million settlement was reached for a woman involved in a tractor-trailer accident caused by the driver’s improper left turn.

On December 11, 2017, Ms. N. Ford was driving north on Fairfield Road in Richland County, South Carolina, when a tractor-trailer made an improper left turn and collided with her car with great force.

Following the serious incident, the truck driver dismounted his truck and approached Ms. Ford’s vehicle, not to inquire about her well-being but to inform her, “You need to move your car out of the way because I need to be in Georgia in one hour.”

Ms. Ford suffered severe bodily discomfort and spinal injuries as a result of the semi-truck accident. She required extensive medical treatment and surgical intervention. The collision had an emotional impact on her, resulting in anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Ms. Ford initially hired a lawyer based on a suggestion from a coworker she trusted. Unfortunately, that attorney was unable to provide the results Ms. Ford required. She instead recruited a tractor-trailer accident lawyer, Mark B. Stanley.

“What other lawyers could not get done for myself and my son, Mark got done in an expeditious manner! My experience with attorney Mark and this law group has been a pleasure!” Ms. Ford explained.

The case settled for $1.875 million.
